You have seen the number. Thirty thousand to seventy thousand impressions a day. It sits on wrap shop sites like a guarantee. We looked for a published study that measured that range. We did not find one. So we will not print it as fact.
What we can actually source
Out of home advertising as a category, not a wrap-only study, is what actually has numbers.
The Out of Home Advertising Association of America said OOH revenue hit a record $9.46 billion in 2025, up 3.6 percent, the 19th straight quarter of growth. Transit was the fastest-growing format for the second year, up 9.2 percent. (OAAA press release, March 17, 2026: https://oaaa.org/news/out-of-home-advertising-revenue-reaches-record-9-46-billion/)

A 2019 Nielsen study for OAAA surveyed 999 US residents age 16 and up who had traveled in the past month. Ninety percent noticed out-of-home advertising in the past month. Eighty percent noticed it in the past week. Sixty-six percent of smartphone users took some action on their phone after seeing an OOH ad. More than 40 percent searched for a brand online after seeing one. That is not a wrap study. It is still the job.
Those numbers cover billboards, transit, street furniture, the whole outdoor category. They do not prove your van gets 70,000 looks. They do prove people notice outdoor ads, and a lot of them pick up the phone after.

Your truck is that same idea, sitting in traffic or parked in a driveway. Name, trade, phone, face. If they cannot read it at 40, the impression never happens. A fake daily count will not save a van that looks like every other white Transit.

What to do with this
- Stop buying vinyl off a number nobody measured.
- Make the van readable: name, phone, trade, a face they can point at.
- Put the same mark on the card they take inside, so the search after the glance lands on you.
